If you would like to arrange a school (or college) visit  to the University, which could include a visit to the library, please contact University Student Recruitment and Widening Participation team in the first instance, who will provide information on talks, tours, provided by the University.

If you wish to bring in students for independent study this can be arranged directly with Information Services, please email lib-enquiry@york.ac.uk with the following information:

  • Name and contact details of the school/college/institution
  • Date and time of visit
  • How many students would be in attendance,
    • please note as we are a busy University Library we are only able to accommodate small groups
  • Purpose of the visit

Students should be accompanied by staff from the school/college etc. and aware of the required behaviour in our buildings; please choose study locations carefully to avoid disturbing those studying in quiet or silent zones.
