You can continue to renew any books that you have on loan for 8 weeks over the vacation, and you will be sent courtesy notices seven days before the items are due back asking you to renew your items. Please note that you only need to return your books if they have been requested by another user.
If an item is requested you will be sent a recall notice which will give you seven days to return the item. If this happens and you are unable to return the books to the Library in person you can post items back to us at the following address:
Help Desk
JB Morrell Library
University of York
Heslington
York

You are responsible for the book until it is returned so we recommend that you get proof of postage.
We will take the return date as being the date your parcel was date stamped by the postal service.
Please note that you will be fined £2 per day on requested overdue items and you will be expected to return the items, even if you are not in York. If you have any questions or concerns about returning items during the vacation please contact us as soon as possible and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
