If you are taken ill during your time at the University and are therefore unable to return any items to the Library, please follow the University's self-certification procedure, linked from our exceptions policy page. The Library will then be able to waive any fines incurred during this period.

If you are unable to follow this procedure and you have incurred fines during this period, please provide a medical certificate or confirmation from your department of your absence as soon as you are able to do so.

If you have any questions or concerns about self-certification then please do not hesitate to contact the Library and a member of staff will be very happy to help you.
