When PhD theses are catalogued on YorSearch we do not differentiate between thesis submitted by publication. Therefore is it not able to specify a search field that will provide these details in the record. If the details are included in the title or elsewhere in the record of the thesis you will be able to retrieve the items, but there is no set field to include this information.
Since 2009 University of York PhD theses are submitted to the White Rose eTheses Online. It is possible to search the full-text of the material in the White Rose Repository providing a better tool for identifying theses submitted by publication.
